The Lava Flooded Gold Mine is a working excavation transformed into a rescue site by disaster. Old rails, mining tunnels and ore chambers remain visible, but earthquake cracks have opened into molten rock and lava now cuts through passages that were never designed to contain it. Some routes remain intact while others end at glowing fissures, turning familiar industrial space into a lethal maze.

For a GM, the map provides obvious pressure without inventing a countdown. Trapped workers can be separated by lava, rails and carts offer narrow routes or cover, and every crossing near a molten channel carries consequences. The mine supports rescue, retrieval and survival at the same time: characters may need to reach people, recover valuable equipment or escape before further collapse closes the way out. It also works as an abandoned volcanic mine or dwarven excavation where the mountain has violently reclaimed the tunnels.
