Commission Battlemaps

If you want a custom battlemap or a tailored map package for your campaign, commissions are available.

The entire process is handled directly through Discord, where planning, feedback, revisions and final delivery stay in one place and can be managed far more smoothly.

Fiverr is technically possible, but not recommended. The final price rises noticeably because platform fees are added, while Discord and PayPal keep the process simpler and usually much fairer for the customer.

For direct commissions handled through Discord, PayPal is used for payment. PayPal fees are covered by Racooze for direct commissions.

Please also keep in mind that Discord-based commissions are generally handled in US Dollar. Currency conversion depends on exchange rates and these fluctuations are outside of Racooze’s control.

Pricing

Example grid calculation

Each grid costs €0.025 (2.5 cents).
20x20 = 400 grids → €10
30x30 = 900 grids → €22.50
40x40 = 1600 grids → €40
  • Empty areas (e.g. big caves or unused space) are not charged. The initial estimate is based on the grid count and then adjusted downward where appropriate.
  • Heavy clutter / high detail → +50% surcharge
  • FoundryVTT Ready Scene file = (grid count / 200) → e.g. 20x20 = 400 grids = +€2
  • 20% discount if the map may be published on Patreon afterwards (rights remain with you & the creator).
  • Photoshop post-processing is included, unless declined.
  • Static lighting: +10% of map price → e.g. for a €10 map = +€1
  • Time required: depending on complexity, usually 3 hours – 7 days

Process

How to request a commission

  1. Click the “+” icon in Discord’s chat box.
  2. Select “Create Thread”.
  3. The thread is private by default and only visible to you, moderators and Racooze.
  4. If needed, add @racooze in the message, in case Discord does not add it automatically.
  5. Add a thread name and describe your wishes, references and requirements.
  6. A reply will follow as soon as possible.

Important

Important info

  • Previews and reviews are only posted with watermarks.
  • The final product will be sent via Direct Message as images or as a .zip file if the files are too large.
  • According to German law, the following is needed for the invoice: full name, full address and country.
  • The invoice is sent via PayPal, so your PayPal email address is also required.
  • Personal data can be sent via Direct Message or by email to support@racooze.de.
  • Your data is only used for invoicing and protected under the GDPR, EU privacy laws and PayPal’s policies.
