Braesal Fortress is a remote military compound built for a sizeable permanent garrison. Defensive walls enclose training, living and support areas, while multiple structures and interior levels give the site the scale of a small fortified community rather than a lone tower. Open yards allow troops to gather and drill, while the surrounding defenses keep the entire complex focused on readiness.

For a GM, the fortress is large enough for a staged assault or a prolonged visit. Characters can negotiate with commanders in one section, move through barracks and support rooms, then reach more secure areas without the map ever feeling like a collection of unrelated buildings. During an attack, walls and gates define the first problem, courtyards create exposed ground and interior rooms offer defenders successive positions. Braesal can serve as a frontier bastion, mercenary base or wartime refuge for hundreds of people living under constant expectation of conflict.
