Not all of the Ineluctable Prison's captives are enemies of Baphomet — some are schemers biding their time, and none more so than the lich Alderpash, held in his own cell deep within the maze. Ancient, patient, and utterly self-serving, he is a prisoner who may offer alliance, information, even control over the bound giant Igramalash, if it suits his ends.

But Alderpash is no friend. He bargains only for himself, and betrayal runs in his very nature — it was he who once handed a captured giant over to Baphomet for eternal imprisonment. Cross him, defeat him but let him rejuvenate, and he will nurse his grudge across the ages, turning the prison's own demodands and his web of dark alliances against you.

To deal with Alderpash is to gamble with a creature who has outlived empires by always choosing his own survival. Whatever he offers comes barbed, and whatever he promises may curdle into vengeance. His cell is a place where the sharpest danger is not the sword but the whispered deal.
