Wideleaf Clearing opens a broad patch of bare ground inside dense red-and-green forest growth, with stones, roots, and numerous burrow openings ringing the perimeter. The center is deliberately exposed, creating a strong contrast between the open killing ground and the concealing vegetation around it.

That simple geometry gives a GM an immediately readable set-piece battlefield. Characters entering the clearing can see across it, but anything waiting in the brush controls the edge. Burrows allow threats to appear from multiple directions, while the tree line gives archers, predators, or scouts cover that anyone crossing the middle lacks. The map works for a territorial beast, ambush, ritual gathering, campsite attack, or random wilderness encounter where positioning should be obvious at a glance. Wideleaf Clearing is especially useful when the GM wants an encounter to begin with a choice: stay in the cramped brush, or step into the open where movement is easier and safety is not.
