About this Release
A great stone ziggurat-temple swallowed by jungle and the chambers within it, tied to Paizo's Tyrant's Grasp. From above it's a vast cross-shaped maze of dark, blood-flecked stone terraces ringing a central shaft, set in dense green forest; within and below lie pillared halls, a balcony level, and a lower complex grown through with a vast dead tree.
The grounds are the temple's roof and approach — a sprawling concentric labyrinth of grey stone walls and stepped causeways, weathered and stained, dropping into a black central pit, with small stone outbuildings out in the jungle clearing. The balcony level rings that shaft with a worked-stone gallery, corner rooms strewn with bodies and bloodshed, and the crown of an enormous gnarled tree filling the central void. The lower level spreads into a tiled chamber complex: side rooms with murky water and pools, a bone-littered nook, a fungus-marked vault, a misty red-lit room, and the tree's roots clawing across the floor around the central opening.
Run it as one descent into the temple's heart, roof to root. The maze grounds reward a wary approach with countless blind corners and the central pit as the way down; the balcony is a vertical fight around the shaft and the tree; the lower halls trade open ground for tight, branching rooms thick with dread. The tree and the central shaft tie all three together — keep drawing the eye back to them.
