The dense furnishing makes it immediately clear that the proprietor actually works here: the shop is part laboratory, part storefront, and part home rather than a bare room with a counter.

For a GM, that clutter is useful terrain. Counters and tables narrow movement, shelves hold obvious places for clues or valuables, and fragile glassware gives any fight the potential to become messier than expected. Private rooms allow conversations or searches away from customers, while the main shop remains open enough for ordinary purchasing scenes. The Stoneflask can serve as an alchemist, apothecary, healer, herbalist, magical supply store, or suspicious potion merchant in almost any fantasy settlement, especially when the GM wants a shop that can support an actual encounter instead of existing only as a menu.
