The Temple of the Crawling Chaos is a dark ritual complex where worked corridors, chambers, crypt-like spaces, natural cave openings, and unsettling organic or sculptural features converge around a central sacred area. The architecture is close and maze-like, with little wasted open floor, while the larger ritual chambers create sudden breaks in the pressure of the surrounding passages.

For a GM, the temple supports a classic cult-dungeon rhythm without feeling generic. Tight halls make defenders dangerous, side caves offer alternate approaches, and the central ritual feature gives the party a clear objective even before they understand its purpose. Distinctive carvings and room shapes make navigation easier despite the maze. In Shattered Star's Into the Nightmare Rift, the location carries the adventure's connections to the Crawling Chaos. Outside that story it can become an eldritch cult temple, nightmare shrine, forbidden monastery, or planar sanctum built around a power whose influence is visible in the stone itself.
