The Embassy of Leng is built to feel alien before anything happens in it. Dark blue-grey architecture surrounds a vast central chamber filled with dense pale fog, while jagged crystal formations, unusual energy sources, and sharply geometric side rooms give the complex a visual language unlike ordinary mortal construction.

For a GM, the fog is the defining terrain feature. It can erase long sightlines, separate characters, conceal movement, and make even a large room feel claustrophobic. Crystal-lined passages create memorable chokepoints, while isolated side chambers are ideal for strange devices, negotiations, or sudden threats. In Shattered Star's Into the Nightmare Rift, the embassy belongs to the adventure's excursions into truly otherworldly spaces. Outside the campaign it can serve as a planar embassy, alien ruin, dream-realm fortress, or arcane diplomatic compound where the environment itself tells the players they are far from familiar ground.
