About this Map
Dungeon Level 2 expands the complex around a broad flooded cavern, with waterways, a sandy or rocky island, dry halls, pillared spaces, storage rooms, and smaller constructed chambers branching away from the water. The level feels less controlled than the floor above because the natural cavern dominates the center and architecture survives mainly along its edges.
For a GM, the water creates immediate tactical choices. Boats or narrow routes can limit how quickly characters move between sections, the island can become an objective or exposed staging point, and threats in the dry halls can pressure the party while they are still dealing with the crossing. In Shattered Star's Beyond the Doomsday Door, the level continues the descent beneath the first dungeon. Elsewhere it can be a flooded temple level, subterranean dock, underground prison, or cavern stronghold where control of the water routes matters as much as control of the rooms.
