About this Map
Dungeon Level 1 opens the Beyond the Doomsday Door complex with a mix of natural water and deliberate architecture. An underground lake reaches the edge of pale tiled halls, while ritual rooms, cells, side chambers, and marked floors create a structured dungeon immediately beyond the shoreline. The contrast between flooded approach and controlled interior gives the level a clear beginning and progression.
For a GM, the map supports several encounter types without feeling disconnected. Water limits the first approach, cell blocks create narrow defensive lanes, and ritual chambers provide obvious objectives for rescues, interruptions, or investigations. Corridors link the spaces tightly enough that noise and reinforcements matter. In Shattered Star, this level belongs to Beyond the Doomsday Door. Outside the Adventure Path it works as the upper floor of a hidden prison-temple, cult dungeon, lakeside undercroft, or ancient complex whose builders used the underground water as part of its defenses.
