About this Map
Shrine of the Eclipse is a large, three-level temple whose architecture is built around celestial symbolism and controlled light. Formal chambers, carved stonework and doors aligned with the shrine's design create a strong sense of ritual order, while ruined sections interrupt that geometry with collapsed masonry and broken routes. Sunlight and moonlight entering through the structure are part of the identity of the place rather than simple illumination, giving the temple a visual rhythm that changes as characters move between levels.
The layered layout makes the shrine suitable for a full dungeon sequence. Broad ceremonial rooms can hold larger encounters, stairs and narrow connections create defensible transitions, and damaged portions force detours through less direct routes. In Strength of Thousands: Secrets of the Temple-City, the location belongs to a lost sacred complex, but a GM can also use it as an abandoned observatory-temple, ruined sun cult or lunar sanctuary. Because the map alternates intact ceremonial architecture with decay, exploration continually shifts between readable symmetry and places where the original plan has been broken by time.
