About this Map
Runaway Experiment places trouble inside a built environment where corridors and rooms restrict how quickly characters can reach it. The map's hallways, doorways and enclosed spaces turn a loose magical or alchemical threat into a pursuit problem: whatever has escaped can move out of sight, force characters to choose routes and turn familiar academic architecture into a temporary maze.
For Strength of Thousands: Hurricane's Howl, the location is designed for an experiment that is no longer where it belongs. That makes it easy for a GM to run as a search that becomes an encounter rather than beginning with everyone already standing around the same target. Rooms can be checked, bypassed or sealed off, while narrow connections give both pursuers and quarry chances to gain distance. The same map can support any academy accident, escaped construct or loose creature when the goal is to contain a problem before it reaches a busier part of the building.
