About this Map
The Ruins of Bloodsalt spread across a broad, weathered site where broken walls, collapsed structures and open ground preserve the outline of a settlement long after its buildings stopped being whole. Red-toned earth and damaged masonry give the ruins a distinct identity, while the surviving fragments of streets and chambers create a mix of open approaches and abrupt pockets of cover. The location reads as a place to explore rather than a single arena.
Multiple mapped sections allow the ruins to support a longer sequence of encounters. Characters can move between exposed streets, partial interiors and more secluded spaces without the environment becoming visually repetitive. Crumbling walls create short sight lines in some areas and long, vulnerable crossings in others, making scouting valuable. In Strength of Thousands: Hurricane's Howl, Bloodsalt serves as an ancient site with history buried among the remains. A GM can use it for investigation, creature encounters, archaeological exploration or a running battle through a dead settlement where the next intact wall may conceal either shelter or another problem.
