Protea Pavilion is a three-story magical residence surrounded by a formal garden of wizard statues and a central fountain crowned by a fairy figure. The first floor splits between practical storage and a lush inner garden containing a portal, immediately establishing the pavilion's blend of everyday academic use and planar magic.

The second floor centers on a meeting room with a large round table and the remains of a shattered terrarium, giving the level a clear social purpose with visible evidence that something has gone wrong. Above, a glass-domed balcony brings light into the third floor, where a sparse chamber and a table of objects create a quieter space for examination or discovery. The vertical arrangement lets a GM stage the pavilion as a sequence: garden approach, portal level, meeting floor and exposed upper room, with stairs naturally controlling movement between them. In Strength of Thousands: Shadows of the Ancients, Protea Pavilion is part of the Magaambya's grounds; elsewhere it can become a planar conservatory, magical faculty building or eccentric noble pavilion with enough distinct floors to support investigation, negotiation and combat in the same location.
