About this Map
Six massive stone pillars rise from dense jungle in Jungle Pillars, turning a simple wilderness clearing into a site with unmistakable scale. The monoliths divide the open ground into lanes and blind spots, while thick vegetation closes around the edges and prevents the map from becoming an exposed arena. Weathered stone against living greenery gives the location the feel of an old structure whose original purpose has been swallowed by the forest.
For Strength of Thousands: Secrets of the Temple-City, the pillars fit naturally among ancient remains hidden in the jungle. At the table, they provide substantial cover, break up ranged lines and give climbing or elevated movement an obvious focus if the GM wants it. The map works equally well for an ambush, ritual site, archaeological discovery or monster encounter where a handful of enormous objects reshape the whole battlefield without filling it with clutter.
