Jungle Overgrowth is a dense stretch of tropical wilderness where roots, broad-leafed plants and tightly packed trees leave only irregular passages of usable ground. There is no single architectural objective to march toward; the challenge is reading a landscape in which the safest route is rarely the straightest one. Vegetation breaks sight lines into short pockets and gives creatures numerous places to remain hidden until characters are already close.

In Strength of Thousands: Secrets of the Temple-City, the map supports travel and discovery through a jungle that actively obstructs movement. For a GM, it is a flexible encounter space for scouts, predators, lost travelers or hazards concealed in the undergrowth. The map is most effective when the party has to move through it rather than simply stand in one clearing, letting the foliage shape pursuit, separation and surprise from the first round onward.
