About this Map
The Courtyard is an enclosed stone space framed by high walls and statues, with enough open ground for formal gatherings while still feeling controlled from every side. Monumental figures and hard architectural edges create clear landmarks around the perimeter, and the limited exits make it immediately obvious where people can enter or leave.
In Strength of Thousands: Doorway to the Red Star, the courtyard suits a place associated with authority and judgment. At the table, its simplicity is an advantage: characters can see most of the space, but walls and statues still create cover and constrain movement. It works for hearings, guard confrontations, public punishments, ceremonies or a fight where escape through one of a few exits matters more than searching a maze of rooms.
