About this Map
Cathedral of Nothingness is a large, isolated sanctuary whose grand architecture has outlived whatever once filled it. Tall spires, a broad nave, rows of weathered pews and high stone walls establish the scale of a true cathedral, while neglected surfaces and empty ceremonial space make the building feel abandoned rather than merely quiet. Symbols carved into the stone add points of interest without cluttering the strong central lines of the interior.
The expanded layout gives a GM enough room for exploration across several distinct areas instead of reducing the cathedral to one combat hall. Long sight lines through the nave contrast with smaller side spaces and access routes, allowing scenes to shift between exposed movement and closer searching. In Strength of Thousands: Doorway to the Red Star, the cathedral carries an intentionally strange absence; outside the campaign it can become a forsaken temple, ruined cult center or silent sacred complex where the architecture promises importance even before the characters know what the place was built to contain.
