About this Map
Baobab Orchard is an overgrown grove of massive trees that conceals more structure than the name first suggests. Thick trunks, tangled growth and neglected paths create a natural outer layer, while a hidden or abandoned refuge within the orchard adds enclosed rooms and tighter routes. The change from open vegetation to a built hideout gives the location enough variety for exploration to develop into a dungeon-like encounter without leaving the same site.
In Strength of Thousands: Hurricane's Howl, boggards have made use of the neglected orchard and its concealed spaces. For a GM, the multi-part map supports a gradual approach: characters can scout among the trees, discover signs of occupation, then push into the more confined interior where corners and doorways replace long sight lines. The orchard can also be repurposed as a forgotten plantation, smuggler refuge or abandoned rural compound where nature has had years to grow around whatever was left behind.
