Acid Lakeshore places a dangerous body of corrosive liquid directly beside a forest of towering mushrooms, combining two terrain types that leave very little neutral ground. The lake forms an obvious lethal boundary, while enormous fungal trunks and caps break sight lines along the shore and provide the only substantial vertical landmarks in the landscape.

In Strength of Thousands: Shadows of the Ancients, the surreal environment belongs to a world where ordinary scale and ecology no longer apply. At the table, the acid makes forced movement and careless positioning immediately important, while the mushroom forest offers cover and irregular approaches. A GM can use the map for hazardous travel, an ambush along the water or a battle where reaching the far side safely matters more than defeating every opponent.
