About this Map
Rusthenge itself is a weathered ring of standing stones set in rough coastal wilderness. Jagged monoliths rise from broken, overgrown ground, creating a circular encounter space with a clear central focus and uneven cover around its edges. The site feels ancient because the stones dominate the landscape, not because the map needs hidden spectacle added to it.
That simple geometry is useful at the table. The ring naturally frames rituals, investigations, negotiations and battles around a central objective, while the individual stones break line of sight and give creatures places to circle or take cover. Approaches remain visible enough that a GM can run a confrontation cleanly. As the namesake location of Rusthenge, the map works especially well when the standing stones need to feel important before the party fully understands why.
