The Black Tower is a ruined vertical stronghold tied to the deeper structures of Jorgenfist. Cold stone rooms, damaged upper sections and a descent toward crypt-like spaces give the tower a clear progression from exposed ruin to enclosed darkness. A broad pit and connecting stairs make the vertical relationship between levels visible rather than treating each floor as a separate map.

For Rise of the Runelords: Fortress of the Stone Giants, the tower works as a compact dungeon within the larger fortress. A GM can stage encounters on upper floors, force characters down through narrow transitions and use tombs, rubble and former library spaces as distinct zones. Outside the Adventure Path, it can serve as a ruined necromancer's tower, giant watchpost or fallen fortress keep whose lower levels preserve more than the shattered rooms above.
