About this Map
Chlorofaex's Lair lies among crumbling stone and thick vegetation where the wilderness has reclaimed much of an older ruin. Moss, roots and broken masonry divide the ground into irregular pockets, while clear or faintly glowing water introduces a second natural boundary through the site. The map feels neither fully built nor fully wild, which makes movement through it pleasantly unpredictable.
In Rise of the Runelords: Spires of Xin-Shalast, the location serves as a creature's domain among the ancient city's remains. A GM can hide threats behind vegetation or ruined walls, make the water an obstacle and let the party approach from several uneven directions. Outside the Adventure Path, it works as a dragon or monster lair inside an overgrown temple, ruined garden or abandoned highland structure.
