About this Map
Vordakai's Tomb continues downward into a second level where worked stone meets rougher cavern and water. Sandy or earth-toned chambers open beside darker passages, and constructed access points frame spaces that feel older and less orderly than the level above. The contrast makes it clear that the tomb has been built into, rather than completely replacing, the natural underground environment.
The floor gives a GM several ways to vary encounter rhythm. Tight passages can funnel the party into wider chambers, water can block easy movement, and the change in terrain makes threats feel less predictable than in a uniform stone dungeon. Within The Varnhold Vanishing, this level deepens the sense of entering Vordakai's buried domain and prepares the party for the still more elaborate spaces below.
