About this Map

The Temple of the Elk is a ruined sacred site reclaimed by the wilderness. Broken stonework and surviving temple features sit among trees and uneven ground, creating a location where architecture and forest overlap rather than remaining cleanly separated. The approach is open enough to establish the ruin visually, while the surviving walls and interior spaces give the site several distinct areas for exploration or combat.

In Kingmaker, the temple is an important early landmark in the Stolen Lands and works best when it feels like a place with history rather than a generic monster arena. Rubble and walls provide cover, vegetation gives creatures room to approach unseen, and the temple's central spaces offer a clear focus for whatever has disturbed the site. Outside the Adventure Path, the map readily serves as a fallen woodland shrine, abandoned druidic sanctuary or ruined frontier chapel.
