Nettle's Crossing places a narrow wooden toll bridge across fast-moving water, with ropes, muddy banks, dense vegetation, and a small riverside landing making the crossing feel improvised rather than secure. The bridge is the obvious route from one bank to the other, but its exposed planks and surrounding current turn even a simple meeting into a scene with clear tactical pressure.

In Kingmaker, the crossing carries the history of Davik Nettle and the Stag Lord's bandit rule, giving the location more weight than an ordinary bridge on the road. On the table, it works equally well for negotiation, an ambush, a hazardous crossing, or a fight where the river matters every round. Characters on the bridge have little room to maneuver, while those on either bank can use vegetation and elevation for cover. Outside the Adventure Path, Nettle's Crossing is a ready-made wilderness toll bridge, haunted ford, or remote checkpoint where a very small structure can control an entire route.
