M'Botuu Settlement occupies a jungle clearing filled with round, thatched huts connected by narrow paths through dense vegetation. The buildings are spaced closely enough to form a recognizable community but irregularly enough that the settlement never becomes a neat grid. Trees and heavy plant growth press against the edges, making the surrounding wilderness part of every approach.

The huts divide the map into many small sightlines and give occupants numerous places to withdraw, hide or emerge from during an encounter. The open ground between them works for gatherings and negotiations, while the jungle edge supports infiltration or an ambush. In Kingmaker, the settlement pairs naturally with the nearby M'Botuu Caves, allowing a GM to move from an inhabited surface community into a deeper lair without losing the sense of a connected location.
