About this Map
Scarwall's first floor establishes the fortress as a place built to control movement. Heavy stone walls frame broad chambers, stairs and narrow connecting passages, while sections of broken masonry and debris make the interior feel damaged without turning it into an unreadable ruin. Water and exposed edges near the approach create a hard boundary around parts of the level, and the main routes repeatedly narrow into defensible crossings.
This is an excellent floor for an initial breach into Scarwall. Large spaces give dangerous occupants room to dominate, while doors, stairs and side chambers let a party split, retreat or become isolated. Rubble provides visual cover and obstacles without obscuring the overall layout. As part of Skeletons of Scarwall, the map works best as the beginning of a sustained fortress delve, where every stair and side route suggests that the castle continues well beyond the current room.
