Argynvostholt is a sprawling ruined manor-fortress with enough floors and wings to function as a complete adventure site. Large halls, former living quarters, towers, stairs and damaged chambers preserve the grandeur of the building while broken masonry and neglected interiors make its decline visible everywhere. The estate's scale creates long routes between objectives, but individual rooms remain compact enough for encounters to feel personal rather than lost inside an enormous empty castle.

The many mapped levels give a GM several ways to control pacing. Characters can explore public halls before pushing into private wings, climb toward towers and upper rooms, or become separated by staircases and damaged connections. Courtyards and exterior approaches provide breathing room between the dense interiors, while ruined sections introduce alternate routes and obstacles. In Curse of Strahd, Argynvostholt carries the history of the Order of the Silver Dragon, but the map is equally useful as a fallen knightly stronghold, abandoned noble seat or haunted fortress where the architecture still remembers a more honorable age.
