About this Map
Braunstone Beak is a harsh badland formation of layered ridges, trenches and exposed stone. Repeated curved cuts through the earth create natural lanes and elevated edges, making the map read like a weathered beak or claw carved into dry ground rather than an ordinary flat desert encounter.
For a GM, the terrain does most of the tactical work. Ridges block direct movement, lower channels provide concealment and anyone holding the higher ground can influence several approaches at once. The map is well suited to predators, scouts, bandits or territorial creatures that know how to use broken terrain. Braunstone Beak can also serve as a natural landmark during overland travel, a fossil bed or the eroded remains of something much larger if the campaign needs a stronger mystery.
