About this Map

The Tipsy Tengu is a compact corner alehouse in Absalom's Precipice Quarter, the kind of place where a routine visit can turn into a room-wide brawl before anyone reaches the door. A warm timber floor fills most of the tavern, with benches, stools and small tables scattered around a central open space. A bearskin rug, stacked casks and a side counter add character without crowding the room, while the street wraps close around the building and keeps the encounter focused.

The furniture does much of the tactical work. Benches and tables can become low cover, obstacles or improvised weapons, overturned pieces break up direct movement, and the bar area gives anyone behind it a natural position to hold. The small footprint makes every shove, flank and blocked doorway matter.

In Agents of Edgewatch, the Tipsy Tengu is one of the rookies' early patrol stops, where they are sent to calm a group of rowdy adventurers. That context suits the map perfectly, but the location also works as a neighborhood tavern, mercenary drinking hole or roadside alehouse whenever a GM needs a social scene that can become physical without requiring a sprawling inn complex.
