About this Map
Basement Rooms is a compact lower level divided into storage, service and private chambers beneath a larger property. Stone or heavy interior walls create short corridors and enclosed rooms, while shelves, furnishings and stored goods make the basement feel used rather than excavated as a dungeon. The limited exits give every doorway more weight than it would on an open floor.
In Age of Ashes: Against the Scarlet Triad, the map is useful for investigation or infiltration because characters can move from one small room to another without seeing the whole level at once. A GM can hide evidence, occupants or contraband in side chambers and let defenders use the narrow layout to slow intruders. Outside the Adventure Path, it works as the cellar of a manor, merchant house or urban compound whenever the important scene takes place below the respectable rooms above.
