Time and neglect have left the structure in a state of severe disrepair. The stone walls are cracked and crumbling, their once-proud arches now reduced to shattered remnants. The roof, long since collapsed, exposes the interior to the harsh elements. The chapel’s stained glass windows, if they can still be called that, are now just broken fragments clinging to their frames.
Where there was once the serene calm of devotion, there is now an oppressive silence, broken only by the occasional scurry of creatures that have made the ruins their home. The surrounding hill is barren, the soil parched and cracked, with sparse, twisted vegetation struggling to survive in the harsh conditions.
The chapel’s interior, although mostly empty, holds a few relics of its past. Weathered pews lie scattered and overturned, while the remnants of an altar stand eerily in the center of the space, partially buried under debris. In this forsaken place, beasts and fiends now dwell, using the chapel as a vantage point to patrol and defend the Worldwound against any encroaching crusaders from Mendev.
Despite its ruinous state, the Lost Chapel still holds an air of melancholy grandeur. Its presence on the hill serves as a stark contrast to the fierce, chaotic world surrounding it, marking it as a somber site of past heroism now overshadowed by the creeping influence of darkness.
