Far to the north, where the wind scours the land and ice devours the bones of mountains, lies a place whispered of in fear — In the Mouth of the Skull. A labyrinth of frozen stone and ancient power, this place marks the threshold between mortal realms and something far older, slumbering beneath the glacier.
The Sihedron Circle
A ring of ancient stone monoliths crowns a desolate peak, their surfaces carved with the runes of the Thassilonian age. Here, the air hums faintly with latent magic, and the snow never settles upon the stones. Each pillar bears a different mark of the Sihedron Rune, symbols of pride, wrath, greed, and the other sins of a fallen empire. It is said that when the runes align beneath the northern lights, the circle becomes a gate — not to another place, but to another time.
The Dragon’s Lair
Beyond a narrow fissure in the ice lies a cavern reeking of cold metal and old death. The stone floor bears deep gouges from claws the size of spears, and the walls glisten with frost as if coated by a dragon’s breath. Broken weapons and scorched bones tell the tale of countless failed heroes who sought the beast’s hoard. Now, the hoard itself lies frozen within the glacier — a mound of gold, relics, and cursed wonders locked beneath a shimmering sheet of ice. The dragon that claimed it may yet sleep nearby, its heart beating slow as thunder under the frozen earth.
